Why You Should Use Save The Date Magnets And More!

Here’s what’s happening, people are dispatching save the dates as either save the date cards or as save the date magnets to all of their invitees.  They are doing this to pass along info about some upcoming party in their lives.  If you’re trying to make up your mind between cards or magnets, I’m sure this article will help you decide.

Save the date magnets are enormously trendy recently and a lot of folks choose to utilize this kind of save the date.  Whether it’s for ceremony and reception, b-day celebration or an anniversary, fridge magnets are the most popular selection for most celebration inviters.  If you’re wondering, “Really?  Why?”  Well, here you go:

They are so very cute.  Each party planner wants to make a good impression when they invite their friends and family to a wedding or event.  There is nothing more cute than well-made and funny save the date magnets.
People think they are fun.  I know finding an invite in the mail, what a thrill!  If it’s just a simple card, I usually scrawl the info down on a notepad then throw the card in the garbage can.  This will not happen with save the date magnets.  Besides, what’s more exciting than adhering an invite up on an icebox?
They are uniquely you!  If you make normal paper stock cards, they usually don’t symbolize you or your wedding, party, birthday, whatever.  Usually cards are just a generic “you’re invited” card.  It’s much better to take a fun picture, add the location, time, and day of the wedding, and you are all dialed in!
They don’t cost as much!  The amount of dough spent these items has become so low, that they are gentle on your budget.  You can find so many excellent prices for just about every financial range.  And even though they are not expensive, that doesn’t mean they are inferior.
People find them quirky!  Everyone has gotten save the date cardstock cards and, well, they generally need to be made up to leap out at you.  Save the date magnets can be done up in so many different ways, they entirely are a unique product.

Of course there are some negatives.  Brides and grooms, party planers and the like all use them nowadays.  You might be considered typical for doing the same.  The great thing about using them, though, is that you can completely personalize them and make them funny, romantic, outrageous or just cute.  Another possibly bad detail comes from folks who try to construct them without a company.  In most cases they will come across as substandard in quality and when their friends and family open them, they look poorly made.

Why is it that they work so well?  As I mentioned before, I typically take a non-magnetic save the date card and, once I get the who, what, when, and where off of it, I toss it.  If I do hang it on the big old fridge, I do it with a magnet irrespectively.  Once it falls off, though, I get annoyed and then get rid of it.  I always stick the refrigerator magnets up and they don’t often slip off (except when they are holding up card or party invite!).  Also, I am incessantly reminded about the upcoming event every time I go to the fridge, which is about thirty times a day, no joke.

To get the most out of them, all you need to do is take care that you design them to fit the trend of the festivity and mind that they reflect and match your fashion sense.  Also, do not make them yourself.  You might get lucky and put together a passable product, but it is more effective to leave it to the ones who know what they are doing.  They really know what they are doing!  Here’s to my wish that I’ve been of some help as you decide between save the date magnets or cardboard for your upcoming special event.
