Jet Airways bides all hopes to get connect two-thirds of its dual-class fleet into an all-economy configuration under its all-new service – Jet Konnect. This benefit of having a low-cost service on its balance sheet truly depends on the amount of cost-cutting to match other low-cost carriers. At least 185 flights are dedicated to Jet Konnect in this regard. Initially, Jet Konnect will connect with two 737 and six ATR aircraft in sectors like Chennai-Coimbatore, Chennai-Madurai, Chennai-Kochi, Mumbai-Ahmadabad, Mumbai-Bhopal, Mumbai-Udaipur, Bangalore-Pune and Bangalore-Mangalore. This has been done to meet the rapid changing demands.
People are mulling as why another sub-brand, Jet Konnect, is being launched. The airliner says that in the current situation they require a deployable and flexible solution. People talk much about green shoots and the economy turning, but no fundamentals are yet clear that there is light at the end of the tunnel. What we are experiencing today is an interim phenomenon. There will be room as market turns around. There is a market still there to ask for nothing but the lowest price.
The primary hub of Jet Konnect is Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, while Indira Gandhi International Airport and Chennai International Airport are its secondary hubs. Jet Konnect connects the following cities like Ahmadabad, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Madurai, Mangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Udaipur, and Vadodara in India.
Jet Airways, a leading private carrier, is rolling out a new economy service, Jet Konnect. It will offer almost all services of its parent carrier and help the airline to cater to the needs of its passengers opting for low-cost services. All passengers will have to do is to pay for their on-board meals, while in-flight and other ground services will remain be handled by Jet Konnect staff.
